TESTIMONIALS:

Quartus Chamber Players played a fantastic concert on the HCC Chamber Music Series last night.  They had a gorgeous sound as an ensemble and a natural fluid sense of phrasing that made the music so engaging and vibrant.  They navigated all the rhythmic intricacies of Michael Torke's Corner in Manhattan with ease and played with a buoyant sense of fun even in the most demanding passages.  Their performance of the Brahms' Clarinet Quintet took my breath away.  Clarinetist Maiko Sasaki was a revelation--her exquisite sound and deep musicianship was complemented by the lush and passionate playing of her Quartus colleagues.  I love watching the different personalities of the Quartus players shine through their performance--Pei-Ju's sheer exuberance, Caroline's thoughtful sincerity, Shino's understated elegance, and Meredith's committed musicianship.  Quartus is definitely one of the most dedicated and passionate chamber groups out there and I'm so honored they came and played on the HCC Chamber Music Series.
