Ning-Chih Hsu, violin

Ning-Chih Hsu was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She came to the U.S. to study music and received her degrees from Eastman School of Music (BM) and The Juilliard School (MM), where she studied with Zvi Zeitlin and Dorothy DeLay. Ms. Hsu is a versatile musician who enjoys playing solo recitals, chamber music, contemporary church band, and orchestra.  She has performed in various venues in USA, Europe, and Asia, including the Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York.  She moved to Houston with her family in 2011. Currently, Ms. Hsu teaches at the University of St. Thomas and its Music Preparatory School as an adjunct violin professor and orchestra director. She also coaches at the Houston Youth Symphony and serves as a pianist at the Houston Ballet Academy. Her recital "Happy Birthday! Sarasate" was previewed at The Front Row, FM 91.7 Houston Public Radio.
